Members of SHAL

Effective July 1, $1,500 is available to assist people who are homeless with:

1. Temporary motel vouchers for 1-3 days for people in the middle and upper keys
2. Family reunification funds to relocate people back to their families
3. Fees required to acquire birth certificates and drivers licenses

 

If you would like to use these funds, they will be available on a first come, first served basis:

• Call the SHAL office at 305 292 4404 to confirm that funds are available. Outside of business hours call Wendy on her cell at 305 393 3666.
• Make the payment and document the invoice and payment.
• Record the service in HMIS.
• Submit the paperwork to SHAL within 24 hours of the request for reimbursement. Note: Funds will not be held beyond 24 hours of the request.

 

A minimum of $500 is set aside for the Middle and Upper Keys.
